From January 18 to February 14, 2025, C Market Coffee participated in Vancouver’s annual Hot Chocolate Festival with two exclusive Korean-inspired creations that captivated our guests. This limited-time event celebrated bold flavors, cultural heritage, and community, leaving a lasting impression on all who visited our three locations. Gochujang Hot Chocolate: A Bold Fusion of Flavors Our Gochujang Hot Chocolate became an instant standout, blending the rich warmth of traditional hot chocolate with the fiery complexity of Korean gochujang. The drink featured a velvety base topped with gochujang-infused rosé cream and a drizzle of housemade gochujang caramel. Paired with a gochujang-glazed biscotti, this creation balanced spicy, sweet, and savory notes—a testament to Korea’s vibrant culinary artistry. Guests praised its daring yet harmonious flavor profile, calling it “unforgettable” and “uniquely addictive.” Coco Dalgona: A Playful Nostalgic Experience Inspired by Korea’s beloved dalgona candy, the Coco Dalgona offered a whimsical journey for the senses. A decadent hot chocolate base was crowned with black cocoa dalgona foam and crunchy dalgona candy pieces. The inclusion of chocolate soil (crafted with almond powder) and a miniature shovel invited guests to interact with their drink, sparking joy and nostalgia. Many described it as “a cozy hug in a cup,” with its creamy texture and playful presentation earning rave reviews.

Passions Gala 2024

This past weekend, C Market Coffee had the honor of participating in the 21st annual Passions Gala, a premier fundraising event in support of the Dr. Peter Centre. The gala brought together Vancouver’s philanthropic and culinary communities to uplift some of our city’s most vulnerable individuals—those living with HIV/AIDS, mental illness, substance use disorders, and homelessness. At the heart of C Market Coffee’s participation were three exquisite sando cakes, each a masterpiece of flavor and design. Crafted by Millda Bakery and beautifully captured by Mark Yuen, these creations embodied the festival’s ethos of innovation and artistry. Matcha Red Bean Sando Cake married earthy, aromatic matcha with the subtle sweetness of red bean paste. The vibrant green hue and delicate presentation mirrored the festival’s celebration of clean, intentional design. Chocolate Sando Cake has cocoa sponge layers were sandwiched with silky dark chocolate ganache, offering a luxuriously rich experience. Strawberry Cream Cheese Sando Cake featured layers of vanilla sponge cake paired with luscious strawberry cream cheese. Fresh strawberry slices added bursts of juicy brightness, while the velvety cream cheese filling provided a rich, tangy contrast.

Running from September 19–29, 2024 - the Design Vancouver Festival will host 66 community-driven events—from exhibitions and open studios to lectures and walking tours—showcasing the city’s vibrant design landscape. As a proud supporter, C Market Coffee is committed to fostering creativity and collaboration within Vancouver’s design community, blending our passion for culinary craftsmanship with the festival’s mission to inspire and connect. We had the privilege of sponsoring the Design Vancouver Festival launch party, where we contributed bespoke small bites and a signature cold brew-infused cocktail to celebrate the festival’s creative vision. In collaboration with our talented bakery partner Millda Bakery, we crafted a curated menu of design-themed pastries, including the Black Velvet Cookie (rich black cocoa paired with soft cream cheese), the Cream Cheese Cake (silky cream cheese atop a black cocoa base), and the Black Bun with Cream Cheese (striking squid ink bun filled with dill salmon cream cheese). Each treat embodied culinary artistry, mirroring the festival’s dedication to innovation.

We were thrilled to support Arc'teryx as they embarked on this exciting new chapter at Coquitlam Centre. The event's energy was palpable, with crowds gathering to explore the store’s offerings and savor our handcrafted drinks. For the grand opening, we crafted four specialty drinks designed to delight every palate. Among the highlights were the Sugar-Free Oat Vanilla Latte, a creamy blend of oat milk with subtle vanilla sweetness, ideal for guilt-free indulgence; the Cold Brew, a smooth and bold offering brewed for hours to deliver rich, layered tones; the Strawberry Oat Latte, a refreshing fruity twist on a classic that combined oat milk with vibrant fresh strawberry flavors; and the Mango Latte, a tropical delight blending sweet mango and creamy milk for an exotic, sun-kissed sip. Each drink was thoughtfully curated to celebrate the occasion and cater to diverse tastes, available in limited quantities to mark the event’s exclusivity. These beverages were available in limited quantities, adding a special touch to the day’s festivities. This might just be Port Coquitlam’s best café. Space is one of C-Market’s specialties, and it was refreshing to sit back and relax at a cafe where you’re not crammed shoulder to shoulder with other patrons. Another highlight of having so much space to work with (other than the massive amounts of sunlight shining in through those upper windows) is that C-Market has the room to play host to live music events, most notably its live music nights every Thursday.

We had a light brunch at C Market Coffee and enjoyed the atmosphere and the menu. They have larger food options such as wraps and bowls and also a wide selection of sweets and desserts, but we only tried our sandwich and drinks. I found the sandwiches to be quite aesthetically pleasing but a little on the small side for the price. Drinks were decently priced and the latte again was very large. The Port Coquitlam location would be a good place to meet up with a friend or have a little coffee chat/networking meeting as the space itself is quite nice.
